Matthew Kelly calls this second question THE JESUS QUESTION. How you answer this question will affect every aspect of your life.

Apr 2014 Keep Holy the Sabbath

Keep Holy the Sabbath

Dr. Timothy Gray is the president of the Augustine Institute and is a well-known Scripture scholar and Catholic speaker. With fascinating detail and examples, Dr. Gray here discusses the profound importance for individuals, and for modern society, of properly observing Sunday as the Lord’s Day by exploring God’s gift of the Sabbath in the Old Testament. He aims to help us reclaim our Sunday from the hustle and bustle of our busy lives.

Of all of the numerous CD's I have gotten from Lighthouse Catholic, this is one of my favorites. It was all new and so relevant. Especially the part about the Exodus and how God punished the Egyptians each Saturday for not allowing his people to keep the Sabbath. I was never completely sure before what exactly keep holy the Sabbath meant besides mass. Obviously it was important given it's place in the 10 commandments, but why? Catherine - Madison, WI

Prove it, God ... and He did!

As a lifelong Catholic, wife, and mother of three, Patty Schneier struggled with the Church's teaching on contraception – as many men and women do today. Her discovery of Pope John Paul II's "Theology of the Body" revealed to her the fullness of God's plan for sex and marriage, and led to a dramatic renewal of her marriage and her faith. Patty now speaks around the country about the challenges she faced on her amazing journey.

The fact you had a "good Catholic" firmly opposed to the teaching of the Church, make a complete 180, simply from a little nudge by three nuns is awesome. It is especially fruitful because she shows you her struggle as the truth is slowly revealed to her. Awesome! David - Biddeford, ME

Above all, Dr. Kreeft assures us that victory is assured for those who hope in Christ, because good always triumphs over evil.

Dec 2012 The Second Greatest Story Ever Told

The Second Greatest Story Ever Told

In this vastly popular talk, Fr. Gaitley describes the "second greatest story ever told" - a story that encompasses Divine Mercy, the life of Blessed Pope John Paul II, and the crucial role that Marian Consecration can play in your life. Fr. Michael Gaitley is a priest in the Congregation of Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception and the director of the Association of Marian Helpers, a spiritual benefit society with more than one million members.

Father Gaitley's youthfulness! . . am sure the main reason Our Lady picked him to be "her beloved son" ( her Priest ) to serve as "Fr. Joseph" for the Divine Mercy Apostolate is: he is one of St. John Paul II's "Dear Young People". While I've regularly consecrated myself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary through the Marian Movement of Priests (as a married layman), Father Gaitley's engaging presentation has "dusted off" the memory of the last (and only) time I did the 33 day consecration according to St. Louis de Monfort ( i.e. around 1976). I will begin my next 33 days this coming Monday (July 13, 2014), in time for consecration on August 15 . . .my last day at work, before my retirement. . . just before my 70th birthday. Elizabeth and I have been married 32 years (July 24). Our two boys - Patrick and Peter - both live out west (Calgary/ Edmonton). Both love and live the Faith. Both have found and married faithful spouses, and each have found stable work. Both were married on the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Peter and Melanie a year ago; Patrick and Amy two years ago. Thanks be to God ! ! Bob - London, ON

Stephen Ray emphasizes that unless we understand the innate “Jewishness” of Christianity and our Old Testament heritage, we will never fully understand our Faith, the Church, or even salvation itself. These are rooted not only in the early Church, but 2000 years before that, in Abraham. With his infectious enthusiasm, Stephen helps us to learn the deep truths of scripture that God taught through Abraham.

The Forgotten Virtue: Pathway to Holiness

God opposes the proud but bestows favor on the humble. (1 Peter 5:5) In this revealing talk, Fr. Casey shares how wisdom and blessings come through a healthy cultivation of the virtue of humility, and he equips us to be vigilant in avoiding that often subtle temptation and danger to the soul, which is pride. He shows how humility allows us to see things, and ourselves, as they truly are, and how pride makes us prone to serious mistakes, both in our spiritual and practical lives. At the end of this presentation is a bonus segment from Confession by Fr. Larry Richards.

EXCELLENT! This is the second title with Fr. Casey as the speaker to which I have listened (Sacrament of Penance is the other title -- I highly recommend that title as well). I find Fr. Casey's speaking style energetic, enthusiastic, passionate, engaging, and appealing. Some might say his style is somewhat "old school", but I really like it. I found the discussion of how to be mindful of the movement of pride in oneself helpful. My favorite part is the Litany of Humility; it is a prayer that I have been saying along with the CD because trying to cultivate the virtue of humility is something that we are all called to do. Paul

We believe, know in God the Father, and in His Son Jesus Christ and in the Holy Ghost. We know Jesus is the christ and that he died for our transgression, we believe the Bible as far as it is translated correctly and the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.We believe in the importance of family, between a Father and Mother raise a family in a loving home, giving generously and serving the Poor and the Needy, serving the communities in time of need all over the world. We have endure many things, and will endure ALL things. We seek after things that are virtuous, lovely, good report or praiseworthy. Finding the Fullness of Faith

Stephen Ray was raised in a devout, loving, Baptist family. In this presentation, he shares his amazing conversion to Catholicism and explains why he is convinced it is the Church founded by Christ over 2000 years ago.

It gave me a better understanding on how to approach people of other religions, especially Protestants, to come back to the fullness and beauty of Holy Mother Church. It also gave me a clearer understanding of the beginning and foundations of the Church. Randy - Oak Grove, MN
