Order today for special early bird pricing!

St. Teresa of Calcutta was a woman known and loved for her tender work among the poorest of the poor. Behind her drive and desire to serve Christ’s poor was a profound understanding of the thirst of God for man, and man’s thirst for God. This guided meditation on Scripture and the teaching of Mother Teresa will lead those who read it into the heart of the mystery of God’s thirst for souls, and how man can meet the Lord’s thirst. Fr. Joseph Langford, an intimate friend of Mother Teresa’s and a co-founder with her of the Missionary of Charity Fathers, leads the reader into Mother Teresa’s love of God, and helps foster the love of God in the heart of the reader.

Divided into seven main sections, these meditations will provoke prayer on:

– The Dynamics of Thirst

– Prayer as Thirst

– Our Lady’s Example in Meeting God’s Thirst

– Thirst in the Service of God

– Sharing in the Thirst of Christ

– Jesus as the Incarnation of God’s Thirst

Purgatory: Our Forgotten Family

Purgatory: Our Forgotten Family

What is Purgatory? Does it exist? Does it matter? As professor and speaker Dr. Mark Miravalle explains, not only is the doctrine of Purgatory true, and deeply rooted in Sacred Scripture and Tradition, but the practice of offering prayers and sacrifices for the souls of the dead is a critically important responsibility for every member of the Body of Christ—the family of the Church.

Speaking with honesty, humor, and personal experience, Noelle Garcia tackles these issues head-on, encouraging those who are struggling (or know someone who is) that God's mercy and love are waiting for them; that you, and your life, truly matter.

The Roots of the Crisis

The Roots of the Crisis

The clergy sexual abuse scandals have rocked the Catholic Church and caused a crisis of faith (and of evangelization) for many. When facing such a daunting and terrible crisis, it can be difficult to find the right way forward.

In this talk, Dr. Tim Gray explains with conviction and insight that to make any real and lasting change, we must keep faith, and look closely at the deep roots behind this crisis. Times of great scandal and corruption in the Church can be followed by times of even greater renewal and revival, if faithful men and women will enter the constructive conflict that truth requires.

“Tim offers a voice of reason and hope in the midst of these dire scandals. This talk brings light to the darkness.”

Well-known author, psychologist, and priest Fr. Benedict Groeschel draws on his own years of personal experiences in dealing with people’s problems, tragedies, and “darkness” as he offers help and guidance for any Christian troubled or burdened by life. If you are struggling with fear, anxiety, grief, loss of loved ones, hurt, anger, or anything that makes life difficult or the road through it dark, then this book was written for you. Fr. Benedict offers practical suggestions on how to keep going and even grow more with the help of God’s grace, even when this help seems remote.

The Christian response to the problem of evil and suffering began with the cross of Christ. Our answer is inseparable from the cross—from Jesus’ own encounter with evil and his triumph over it. In this light, Fr. Benedict recalls some of our most frequently encountered sorrows and griefs: the failure of friends, financial and personal insecurity, the failure of some in the Church, our own inconsistent behaviors and weaknesses, and the death of loved ones. As we examine these painful experiences, he shows that we can find solutions in the Gospel and in the lives of saints, heroes, and very brave ordinary people.

About the Author:

Fr. Benedict Groeschel, C.F.R., was the director of the Office of Spiritual Development for the New York Archdiocese. He wrote numerous books on the spiritual life and pastoral counseling. He was a member of the Franciscans of the Renewal who preach evangelical reform and work with the homeless in the South Bronx.

Praise for Arise from Darkness:

“Just the kind of wise guidance we have come to expect from Father Groeschel. It is clear, simple, compassionate, personal, practical, Christ-centered, and full of Gospel quotes that come alive in Groeschel’s hands.”
– Peter Kreeft, Author of Making Sense Out of Suffering

Fr. Groeschel offers rich wisdom . . . and a great deal for us all to learn. He superbly teaches us how to pray in times of trouble. A book to be thankful for.
– J.I. Packer, Author of Knowing God

“This sensitive and profound book may become the book that can help you most in your own sufferings or that you can give to others when your own words fail.”
– Ronda Chervin, Ph.D.

Rising Above: From Tragedy to Triumph

Rising Above: From Tragedy to Triumph

At nine years old, John O'Leary was involved in a horrific incident and was given only a one percent change to survive. Today, nearly three decades later, he travels the world teaching others how to truly live. In this presentation, John draws on his life's experience to intimately illustrate how God often uses our greatest challenges to positively transform our lives.

My kids and I LOVED this CD because it was impactful and gave us the opportunity to define the word FAITH. John not only defines faith and lovevin his talk, but also gives examples of them. Now my 5 year old now can repeat the definition of faith, and I as a mother try to explain that definition in our every day lives. John's talk is helping me teach my kids the Catholic faith and love. Love Hurts: The Truth Behind Redemptive Suffering

Love Hurts: The Truth Behind Redemptive Suffering

In this presentation, Matthew Leonard focuses on the new idea of love proclaimed by Christ and how it gives meaning to human suffering, penance, and ultimately death. Sounds a bit dark, doesn't it? But it's not! By looking at these issues we'll discover the secret to how we can "Rejoice in the Lord always" just like St. Paul, no matter what happens.

I always wondered if God truly loved us why did he allow us to suffer so much. I understand this now. Are suffering is for our own good. I need to learn from my suffering and become a better person. Not only is this good for me because I learned something but I can also offer this suffering up to God. When I feel I am suffering unjustly I will now look to the cross and offer it up to God and remember this Cd and the lessons I have learned. Thank you I already know who I am sharing it with. 15 Things to Do in the Midst of Suffering

15 Things to Do in the Midst of Suffering

Suffering is a mystery we all face at some time in our lives. Whether it is physical, emotional, or spiritual, it will test our faith. Internationally known speaker Jeff Cavins shares personal insights he gained through his own physical pain. He shows us how we can join our sufferings with those of Jesus on the cross, bringing renewed meaning to the suffering we experience in our lives.

Jeff gave a new insight into suffering .he has helped me by giving many Scriptures to show we are called to share our suffering in Christ...His experience with his own pain gave him 'on hand' knowledge of God's Peace when he offered his pain for his daughter. Very moving and healing. He also referred to the Catechism and gave the numbers for us to look up and study along with the many Scriptures. I feel this information and Prayer will help many to begin using pain as Redemptive suffering giving us a deep Peace as we give our pain to our Lord . Mary - Rialto, CA
