I have really enjoyed the CD's from Lighthouse but Swimming Upstream blew me away! I was not familiar with Stephen Ray but will now seek to hear a many of his lectures as possible! Wow, what an amazing, thought-provoking topic! Ordinarily once I listen to a CD, I send it along to my sister who lives across the country. But she isn't getting my copy of this! I will keep it on hand and listen to it again and again! I am also going to look into purchasing several copies to hand out! Please include Mr. Ray in future monthly offerings. Thanks and God Bless! Marti - Saint Gabriel, LA
Listened to the talk on Ash Wednesday and the ashes on my forehead were a conversation starter throughout the day. My response to the inquiries changed after hearing Mr.Ray (and for the better!). There are no coincidences and I was meant to hear this message. Thank you! Lu - Las Vegas, NV

This CD helped me to realize that humanity has always chosen the easy way which is rooted in our weakness and the devil making it seem alright. We must always pray and choose to follow God. Celeste - Craig, CO
Informative AND inspiring. Barbara - Norwalk, OH
Steve Ray is such an enthusiastic speaker that it is contagious to those who listen to him, and this talk is no different. He depicts concepts and stories in such a vivid way that it takes you to the moment being described. Leonardo - Cedar Hill, TX
We see our culture crumbling and don't realize this is the same type of culture the early Christians faced. They turned the tide because they were willing to embrace their faith all the time especially when challenged. We don't value our faith because we have never been taught it correctly by those in authority, our parents, our nuns, our priests. Or it is so watered down that our faith is not worth embracing. We don't know we can change the culture tide by opposing it with courage. Swim against the current as the salmon. gerard - Baltimore, MD
I enjoyed this talk because it discusses the current culture in our world. Just as the early christians were tested and many martyred, we will also one day likely be made to choose to follow Jesus and die or deny Him. It is not hard to see that this is already happening to christians in our world today. Marian - LA
Stephen Ray is an excellent speaker. He speaks with such enthusiasm and directness. I've been very happy with all the Lighthouse CD's I've gotten. Nancy Mary Nancy - De Pere, WI
Steve has a wonderful way of sharing the Truth. I learned many facts from past Church history. I am ready to give my life to Jesus in whatever form I'm called to do so--even death. I feel more compelled now to share my Faith with others. Thanks for sharing this talk with me. Denise Sauser Denise - Colorado Springs, CO
This man knows how to catch people's attention. I left the cd in my car so my 27 yr. old son and his girlfriend could listen to it. Also plan to use parts of it with my 8th grade CCD. Thank you for reinspiring me to talk about my love of our Lord. Since I listened to this last week, I connected with a couple young men who go to a bible college in a town where I was working. They are going on the internet to look up a few things we talked about. Also, in another town where I was a few days later, an older man came up and asked me a few questions. Turns out he's a pastor and had noticed by my mannerisms that I was someone he wanted to visit with. He encouraged me to develop my public speaking, which has been something I am doing, as scared as I am about it. I not only have eternity reasons through offering to lector and lead the rosary, but I have political ambitions. Thank you, Steve Ray. Cindy - Hampton, IA
I'm sending this CD to my Evangelical friends. I think we're in for real trouble with a culture clash. This CD says it well. We must know and be excited about our faith and be ready to suffer. It's coming and we gotta know what we stand for. I have been a long time subscriber and this is the best one yet to use for the New Evangelizatio! Lisa - Lewistown, MT
